As we wrap up another incredible year, we can't help but reflect on the lives we've been able to touch with your help. We came together, raised up and supported our community and there's no better feeling than what comes from that.
It's a sad reality that Pediatric cancer is something so many have been affected by. We've also seen kids really struggle during the COVID-19 pandemic, and many still are – so we wanted to come together to make a difference for all affected. We took part at The Boat Rally for Kids and Cancer, benefiting the Sunnybrook foundation and the Kids Help Phone. This fundraiser has quickly become the largest single fundraiser for the hospital, raising an excess of $25M in support of cancer care. We are so fortunate to be a part of those efforts and will continue to show up for those causes.
In September we kicked off our first ever Agency Golf Charity Event, where we teed off in support of Autism Speaks Canada and were able to raise just under $10K for the cause with the help of local businesses and our generous friends and family. This will also be an annual event and we have an even larger goal set for next year!
After learning that
in 2023, the demand on Canadian food banks has hit unprecedented levels - we knew we wanted to provide support to those families struggling in our very own community. From January to October an additional 200 people per week have been depending on the Food Market at Kerr Street Mission. We took over the kitchen at KSM to cook and feed those families and what an experience it was!
As always, we want you to know we are here for you, whether it be real estate related or personal. We will support you wherever needed today, tomorrow and in the years to come.
Community is of utmost importance to us and giving back will always be a priority.
